A Human-Powered Playground

Ai Pioppi created by Bruno Ferrin is certainly the first of it's kind. This unique park  is hidden within a forest in Battaglia, Italy. The park was originally constructed as a marketing ploy to attract customers to his restaurant. After years of hard work this project turned into a lot more than just a marketing strategy as it attracts hundreds of adventurers every month.

Intricate Patterns Created by Sound

The man in the video is placing couscous on a metal sheet called a Chladni Plate. He uses the bow of a violin to strum the plate at different pitches. The sound waves from each pitch create invisible patterns that vibrate through the plate. With the addition of the couscous, we get a glimpse into what those patterns form.

Spend Halloween Inside Dracula's Castle

Airbnb is holding a contest to stay in Dracula's Castle for the night. Two winners will be flown to Transylvania to stay in "Bran Castle" for the night. This famous castle was originally used as a strategic military fortress that linked Transylvania to Southern Romania. Vlad the Impaler, the inspiration for Dracula, called this castle his home in the 15th century.
